Read, Learn, Do, Teach

Updated: Nov 3, 2018

You've heard it said, how you do anything is how you do everything and for me that's RLDT.

It goes all the way back to how I've been acquiring knowledge through the years--Read/Learn/Do/Teach

Reading is how I feed my mind and my soul. I can't get enough and my Kindle, bookshelves and storage unit are a dead giveaway. Books and reading have been the constant in my life that keeps me on the cutting edge as I continually sharpen the saw.

As I'm reading, I'm learning and continually on the uptake of information, processing it as I go, gaining greater understanding and acquiring knowledge. I tap this endless stream of resources and teachers who keep me energized and enlightened.

But knowledge and learning are nothing if not applied so that is what I do. If it's something I think will benefit me, our team or our clients and followers, I get in there and do it. Together with my amazing staff, we put our hands to tools and technology we feel will be beneficial. This wonderful place of trial and error, hands-on approach, allows us to quickly surmise what works and what doesn't.

And lastly, and my favorite part is teach. Since teaching is the highest form of learning, once I teach it, in essence, I own it. This is one of my favorite things in life, because it allows me to share the wealth with others and inspires me on my learning quest, because I know it will more than just benefit me in the end.

On my quest to becoming a resident expert, I have this wonderful anticipation and expectation that the knowledge I need, can be found. If I don't know something, I know somebody who does and together we become this vast wealth and treasure of knowing and understanding that helps other achieve their goals and realize their potential.

Becoming a resident expert! What a wonderful, fascinating journey of knowledge, understanding, exploring and sharing!
